چکیده

The three-dimensional (3D) finite element model of human eye was established, and the intraocular pressure (IOP) loaded to simulate refractive surgery. biomechanical properties cornea after SMILE LASIK surgery were studied from stress, strain induced wavefront aberration. Our results showed that had less impact on biomechanics, having stress changes than LASIK. However, increased with increase diopter concentrated in central region. We also investigated aberrations surgery, indicated defocus vertical commotion significantly affected by while remaining approximately unchanged. In conclusion, both sergury procedures changed postoperative corneal but biomechanics corneal.

Corneal Biomechanical Changes and Tissue Remodeling After SMILE and LASIK.

Purpose To evaluate transient corneal tissue healing and biomechanical changes between laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) eyes. Methods In each patient, one eye underwent LASIK and the other underwent SMILE. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and dynamic Scheimpflug imaging (Corvis-ST) was used to assess tissue healing and biomechanics, respec...

A Review of Corneal Biomechanics after LASIK and SMILE and the Current Methods of Corneal Biomechanical Analysis

Corneal refractive surgeries for the correction of myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and hyperopia are quick and effective procedures, and have been growing in popularity over the last two decades. However, post-surgery corneal ectasia remains one of the most feared surgical complications. This is where the biomechanical integrity of the cornea begins to fail, with progressive thinning of the stro...

Refractive change induced by the LASIK flap in a biomechanical finite element model.

PURPOSE To study the effect of varying four parameters on the refractive change induced by the LASIK flap. METHODS Using a variety of patient-specific data such as topography, pachymetry, and axial length, a finite element model is built. The model is used in a non-linear finite element analysis to determine the response and change in optical power of the cornea as a function of a material pr...

Ocular aberrations before and after myopic corneal refractive surgery: LASIK-induced changes measured with laser ray tracing.

PURPOSE To determine objectively the changes in the ocular aberrations (3rd order and above) induced by myopic LASIK refractive surgery and its impact on image quality. METHODS The ocular aberrations of 22 normal myopic eyes (preoperative refraction ranged from -13 to -2 D) were measured before (2.9 +/- 4.3 weeks) and after (7.7 +/- 3.2 weeks) LASIK refractive surgery using a laser ray tracin...
